The 2006 season brought The Cat Attack its first regional runner-up finish at the FIRST Great Lakes Regional. Just two weeks afterwards, the team accomplished their first regional championship win at the FIRST Western Michigan Regional. Thanks to an emergency fundraiser drive, the team was able to take their robot, “Darkside”, to the FIRST Championship for the second year in a row. They swept the Curie division and advanced to the national semi-finals to finish the best year for the team yet.
