Where and when do I show up?

Sylvania Southview High School, 7225 Sylvania Avenue, on Saturday, November 19th, between 9 AM and 5 PM. Stay to the left and follow signs to the back of the school. Someone will direct you.

When I bring in my mower, is there anything I need to know?

When you arrive, we will start your mower to make sure that it works. If there is a trick to starting the mower, please let us know. Also, please leave all of the mower accessories at home. We cannot be responsible for lost bags or other accessories.

How long will it take?

Dropped-off mowers will be given priority, but you should still allow 2-3 hours for the entire process.

How much does it cost?

$30. Pickup and delivery is $7 per mower.

Who do I make the check out to?

Please make checks payable to Explorer Post 6201.

Where do the proceeds go?

The funds will help The Cat Attack Robotics Team build a robot and travel to competitions as part of the FIRST Robotics Competition. For a closer look at our activities, feel free to explore our website.

Can I make an additional donation to the team?

What do I need to do to my lawn mower before using it in the spring?

Nothing! Your lawn mower is ready to mow again as soon as you need it.

Can I bring in my riding mower or lawn tractor?

No, we are unable to service these larger items.

Can I bring in my (snow thrower, reel mower, electric mower, edger, leaf blower)

We will sharpen extra blades for $5 each.

My mower needs a new (blade, filter, spark plug, etc.) Can you provide this service?

You must supply us with the parts, and we will do our best to perform the service if time permits.

My lawn mower doesn't work. Can I still get it winterized?

Certainly! We will repair these items and use them as raffle prizes.

Pickup/Delivery

How do I request a pickup?

If you live within the Sylvania school district, fill out our web form at http://thecatattack.org/Lawnmower or call 419-887-3490.

What is the deadline for requesting a pickup?

Please contact us by Monday, November 14th. We need this information for scheduling and logistics.

I requested a pickup. When will you be coming?

If we called you to confirm your pickup, we will be there on Friday, November 18, between 3:30 and 10 PM. Please be patient if we have not come yet. Our students and volunteers are working hard to get to all the houses in an efficient manner.

Can I request a specific time for my pickup?

Due to logistics, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate a specific pickup time. However, we can pick up your mower even if you are not at home.

I requested a pickup but no one called me back. What should I do?

We will call to confirm your pickup during the week leading up to the event, by Thursday November 17 at the latest. If no one has called you by this time, please call or email to let us know.

When will my lawn mower be returned?
